Role of body fat percentage and physical health
Role of body fat percentage and physical health
The saying goes that you are what you eat. Raising the
factor of your physical health becoming a contribution fact of your healthy
living. Physical health is a topic that society needs to consider and take in
for themselves as it is the main function of the human body, we reside in. In
spiritual practices of mind, body and soul you are told that your body is a
vessel that you need to protect and provide care for. Looking good directly
relates to feeling good and being happy.
Our bodies store fat cells which are a basic importance of
our living and are needed for the functioning of our bodies as they protect our
body in many ways and are an important survival component. Each living body
needs fat cells in them to survive because, fat can be used as energy by your
body; most of the food you eat do contain a percentage of fat within in them as
it plays an important role in your daily macronutrient intake.
“Everything should be taken with a pinch of salt , as too much
ruins everything”, this is true with fat as many result to an unhealthy eating habit
of too much fat which affects their living body and makes it toxic in that your
hormones have to respond differently to the excess of fat you have consumed.
There are healthy fats from natural sources and unhealthy that come from processed
sources that one should know about as they have controversial impacts on your
body. Body fat percentage is a great indication of your overall standard
definition of health. BMI and body fat percentage are a way of monitoring your
weight and body composition.
A body with a high fat percentage does not look natural and
puts one in danger of health-related risks that can cause a long-term suffering
to one’s physical health. High fat percentage relates to looking obese because
your body is trying to process to much energy to handle itself. Breaking down
your natural body system which can lead to one having low energy, depression and
at risk of diseases.
A relatively average to low fat percentage is what is
considered the standard of a healthy and complete human living body. This is a
theory of the Vitruvian man by Leonardo da Vinci, which makes a great point and
emphasis on the original proportions of a human’s physique. If your body is not
proportionately relative to the theory, it means your body does not connect
with what is in balance of nature. The average human being needs to be in the
healthy average rate of fat percentage and try to stay away from obesity and
the unhealthy range.
Professionally it is optimal for a sport competitor to try
and achieve a good ration between their muscle mass and their body fat percentage
to enhance their performance. Physique models also follow this ideology by
trying to have more muscle mass than body fat to display defined muscles with
details, just like bodybuilders do.
